Gurglers

Gurgler might be one of the best flies for targeting Juvenile tarpon. Small tarpon (5-40lbs) have a very hard time resisting this little popping bug. Weather in be deep in the back country of the everyglades, on that flats in the keys or just in a residential canal or pond gurglers get the job done.

Electric Chicken is a great color for dirty water and big trout

Gurglers come in many variations. CW Flies variation goes for a shrimpy look while using 2 piece of 2mm foam to insure the fly with float even with heavier hooks for tarpon. I use mostly synthetic materials to shed water to help the fly stay light and easy to cast. EP products and chenilles can be great for this.

Other fish species such as redfish, snook , and trout will all fall victim to gurglers. Every bass anglers will enjoy this fly and have alot of success with it.
